Cytotoxin interacts with death receptor as revealed from ensemble-based molecular docking

Some highlights of this article:

• Ensemble-based molecular docking revealed that, out of several death receptors, tumor necrosis factor receptor 1 (TNFR1) was the best receptor interacting with CTX.

• Intermolecular interactions were Van der Waals forces and hydrogen bonding.

• There was also concentration-dependent reduction of fluorescence intensity with increasing binding affinity.

• A possible involvement of TNFR1-induced apoptosis.
